Sati: Yoga & Philosophy

Why Philosophy?

Pecha at Bairoling Monastery. Kathmandu, Nepal

Why is it important to study philosophy? Because philosophy is the design behind your practice. It is the map that guides your vehicle. It is the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’. It is the mind of the body. It is the articulation of your experience. Your practice will not know where it’s going without it. If the theory is correct then the theory is pointing to the truth. If the theory is incorrect then it also points to the truth by being in opposition to the truth.
