Amidst the torrential downpour of monsoon yesterday I saw these two women doing their prostrations around Boudhanath Stupa. Their devotion and the image was so compelling that I decided to risk getting my camera wet and while balancing my camera, backpack, and an umbrella snapped several images. And when I walked away, they were still prostrating in my heart. This is one reason why I love it here. Everyday I walk outside, I witness something of serious consequence from both ends of the spectrum—pain to devotion and sometimes both simultaneously.
